The August 2026 Open Bioimaging Practices Meetup will focus on OME-Zarr viewers. We will hear about 3 different OME-Zarr viewers and user stories for each. First, we will hear about the ViZarr viewer from Dave Horsfall and Alex Surtees from Newcastle University, as well as a ViZarr user story about the ViZarr ROI annotation plugin by Luca Anceschi from IHB Roche. Second, we will learn about the napari viewer from Kevin Yamauchi as well as a user story about the napari-ome-zarr-navigator plugin by Joel Lüthi. Third, we'll be introduced to the Vol-E viewer by members of the Allen Cell Vol-E team as well as a user story about Vol-E and the Timelapse Feature Explorer by a member of the Allen Cell Vol-E team or Max Hess. For anyone attending in person, there will be drinks & snacks at the end.
